Wastewater Recycling

Treating Wastewater without a Coolant Oil Separator
There are various machining operations to perform mechanical machining process. Whether to apply cutting, grinding, drilling, turning, milling from 5-axis to 9-axis, using vertical or horizontal lathe, multi-spindle or working in a machining center, cutting fluid is one of the top factors that determines the productivity. Cutting fluids are widely used for cooling, cleaning, anti-rust and lubricating of the work piece during machining. Used cutting oil becomes rancid and contaminated gradually depending on its formulations. When reaching its lifespan, it becomes wastewater and is not able to reuse. Thus, proper and legal treatment and disposal are necessary. Coolant wastewater contains hazardous waste oil, emulsified oil, additives such as surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, defoamers and other organic or inorganic additives, and it also contains particulates and impurities of dust and metal wastes. These contaminants in wastewater could result in high values of COD, pollutants, toxicity and are difficult to biodegrade if not treated properly. What even worse is, these harmful substances will cause serious danger to the global environment.
The Concerns of Handling Wastewater

Techno-industrial development evolves over decades. Manufacturers and enterprises from all over the world have started to be aware of maintaining friendly environment and are willing to work with efforts to achieve a green, global future. However, huge expenses from recycling and disposing the wastewater are not always affordable for everyone.

Difference between Traditional Oil Skimmers and Multifunctional Coolant Separators

Dealing with industrial wastewater had been an issue to many of our customers from manufacturing business until they installed unit BEST-1 coolant purification equipment. They encountered environmental audits, received penalties and were even fined. In addition to wastewater formed from used cutting oils, there was also wastewater formed from fluid used for cleaning and washing. All of the wastewater was usually collected in a central tank, and some of the workshops had equipped traditional oil skimmers such as the belt type, disc type, chain type, or drum type. By using an ordinary oil skimmer that did not have an enhanced separating feature or filtration function to remove contaminants and tramp oil from a large amount of industrial wastewater, the treating capacity could be inefficient and slow. Handing over the wastewater without any preceding treatment to a disposal facility will also yield high handling cost.

Choosing an Efficient Coolant Filtration System

By installing the optimized coolant filtration system – model BEST-1, our customer has experienced the satisfaction of maintaining cutting fluid in best state as well as the convenience of working without CNC machine downtime. The contaminants in the cutting oil are filtered, the emulsified, rancid oil is separated and removed, and the stench and the hazardous biological growth are reduced thanks to the performance of the ozone ionic purifier. After treating the rancid coolant with purifier BEST-1, the coolant life has been greatly extended, the degree of the environmental pollution has been lessened, expense of replacement and discharge has been reduced, and much less labor is needed. Taking environmental protection, operating safety, and economical evaluation as core values, HCFENG strives to actively support and assist enterprises to maintain a sustainable working environment through actions.
